My name is Dan and I am a builder.
In December 2016 I left the USMC after serving a month short of 15 years and I couldn’t be happier. September of 2017 I started Blackheart Building Solutions. The company was named after the first Unit I was with as a young infantry Marine. I was a part of a legendary unit called Fox Company Blackhearts. We were a part of Second Battalion, Fifth Marine Regiment, which is also one of the most decorated units in the Marine Corps. It was a transformative time of my life and it had a profound impact on who I am today.
I started from humble beginnings, working from the trunk of my car with my small son in tow. We started with small remodel projects, and slowly over time the projects got bigger and bigger. I found a mentor to help focus my attention and push me to the next level. Soon after we hired some amazing employees and eventually moved from the kitchen table to a proper shop in Vista, Ca.
Today I run the company with my family and talented crew. We focus on the projects that make us happy and look forward to many more years of projects and growing the community.
